Can you repair damaged furniture before refinishing?

Yes. We regularly repair loose joints, broken trim, water damage, chips, dents, cracks, missing veneer, and other structural or cosmetic damage before refinishing your furniture. Click here for more information

Do you refinish laminate or MDF furniture?

Yes. Many laminate and MDF pieces can be professionally painted, although they cannot be stained like solid wood. We'll evaluate your furniture and let you know if it's a suitable candidate for refinishing.

Can you match my existing furniture?

Yes. We offer custom paint and stain colour matching to coordinate with your existing furniture, cabinetry, flooring, or décor. Because every wood species accepts stain differently, we'll achieve the closest match possible.

How do I care for my refinished furniture?

To keep your furniture looking its best:

• Dust regularly with a soft microfiber cloth.
• Clean with a damp cloth and a mild soap if needed.
• Avoid abrasive cleaners, ammonia, bleach, and silicone-based polishes.
• Use coasters, placemats, and felt pads to protect the finish.
• Wipe up spills promptly.

We also retail furniture care products and can give your recommendations based on your specific finish.

How long does the finish take to fully cure?

Although your furniture will be ready for pickup after the recommended curing period, most finishes continue to fully harden over approximately 30 days.

During this time, we recommend:

• Avoid placing heavy or sharp objects on the surface.
• Use coasters and placemats.
• Avoid excessive moisture or standing water.
• Lift furniture rather than dragging it.
• Follow the care instructions provided at pickup.

Do you work on antique furniture?

Yes. We regularly restore antique and heirloom furniture. Every piece is evaluated individually so we can recommend the best approach, whether that's preserving the original finish, repairing damaged areas, or performing a complete refinishing.

Can you replace or install new hardware?

Yes. We can reinstall your existing hardware, refinish it when appropriate, or install new knobs, pulls, and hinges supplied by you or sourced through our trusted suppliers.

Do you offer commercial furniture refinishing?

Yes. We work with restaurants, hotels, offices, property managers, interior designers, builders, and other businesses throughout the Okanagan on commercial furniture refinishing and restoration projects.

Is refinishing furniture worth it?

Yes! Refinishing is often more affordable than replacing quality furniture with something of comparable craftsmanship. It also allows you to preserve sentimental pieces while reducing landfill waste.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes. We stand behind the quality of our workmanship. If you have any concerns following completion of your project, please contact us and we'll be happy to discuss the best solution.

Can I change my colour after work has started?

Colour selections are finalized before work begins. If changes are requested after your project has started, additional charges and extended completion times will apply.

What colour and finish options do you offer?

We offer a wide range of furniture refinishing options to suit every style and budget.

• Painted Finish – A durable, affordable option available in virtually any colour for a clean, modern, or classic look.
• Stained Wood Finish – Enhances the natural beauty and grain of solid wood while providing a timeless appearance.
• Specialty Finishes – Add character with techniques such as distressing, glazing, dry brushing, whitewashing, weathering, layered colours, metallic finishes, and more.

If you have inspiration photos, we'd be happy to recreate a similar look.

Do you provide colour samples?

Yes. We offer a large selection of paint, stain, and upholstery samples, along with custom paint and stain colour matching.

If you're matching existing furniture, simply bring a sample or swatch, and we'll work to create a coordinating finish.

How durable is the finish?

Durability begins with proper preparation. Every piece is thoroughly cleaned, repaired, sanded, and professionally finished before multiple coats of protective clear sealer are applied.

We offer several sheen options, including:

• Flat
• Satin -most popular
• Semi-Gloss
• High Gloss
• Resin Epoxy Coating

Most furniture receives 2–3 coats of clear sealer. For dining tables, kitchen furniture, and other high-use pieces, additional coats can be applied for added protection.

How long does furniture refinishing take?

Project timelines vary depending on the size of the furniture, repairs required, and finish selected.

Typical turnaround times are:

• Painted furniture: Approximately 2 weeks
• Stained wood furniture: Approximately 3 weeks

After the final coat of sealer is applied, furniture typically requires 3–5 days to properly cure before pickup.

COMPLETED FURNITURE PICKUP POLICY

Our workshop has limited space, and completed projects must be picked up within 3 days of notification.

Just like a salon needs its chairs for the next client, a restaurant needs its tables, and a mechanic needs its bays — our workshop needs space for the next furniture project.

Furniture left beyond the pickup period takes up valuable workspace and may delay upcoming projects.

Storage fees may apply after 3 days.

Thank you for your understanding and helping us keep our workshop running smoothly.

Do you offer pickup and delivery?

No. Our focus is on providing the highest quality furniture refinishing and restoration, so we do not offer in-house pickup or delivery services.

Most of our clients arrange transportation with a family member or friend, or rent a small trailer or U-Haul for larger pieces. If needed, we're also happy to recommend trusted local movers who can safely transport your furniture to and from our shop.

If you're requesting a moving referral, please include both the pickup and delivery addresses.

Do you refinish furniture in customers' homes?

Most furniture refinishing is completed in our Kelowna workshop, where we have professional spray equipment, proper ventilation, specialized lighting, and dedicated finishing facilities.

We do offer onsite services for:

• Kitchen cabinet refinishing
• Built-in cabinetry
• Minor furniture repairs

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes. Our schedule is typically booked 2–4 weeks in advance, so we recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred drop-off date.

If you have a small repair or are working with a specific deadline, we'll do our best to accommodate your schedule whenever possible.

Every refinishing project is completed with quality as our top priority. We never rush a project or cut corners. Each coat of paint, stain, or finish requires the proper drying time before the next application to ensure excellent adhesion, durability, and a beautiful, long-lasting finish. While this means some projects take longer than others, it ensures your furniture is refinished to the highest standard.

Additional charges only apply if requested after your original quote, such as:

We'll always discuss any additional charges with you before proceeding. 

How do I schedule my project?

Once your quote has been approved, we'll arrange a time for you to bring your furniture to our shop.

You'll also have the opportunity to schedule a colour consultation, where we'll review finish options, colours, and answer any questions before work begins.

Our showroom and workshop are by appointment only.

Do you offer in-home colour consultations?

Yes.

If you'd prefer us to visit your home, we offer in-home consultations starting at $85+kms from our shop.

We'll bring a selection of paint, stain, and upholstery samples to help you choose the perfect finish for your furniture.
